Krah Cashes on Blaze Tour

Matt Krah bested the field at the May 17 Blaze 9-Ball Tour event, triumphing over last weeks winner, George San Souci, in the finals. The stop was hosted by Atlantic City Billiards in Egg Harbor, NJ, and boasted a $1,000-added prize fund.
San Souci led the top half of the bracket, scoring victories over Lay Thammavong 7-0, Caleb Koury 7-1, Ken Musgrabe 7-2, and Eddie Abraham 7-6. Krah took care of the bottom half of the bracket and reached the hot seat match with wins over Ryan Anzisi 7-1, Rob Vannatta 7-0, Jim OHara 7-2, and Thomas Sansone 7-4.
The hot seat match was a one-way affair, with Krah taking an early lead and never looking back. He sent San Souci to the left side of the chart with a 7-3 victory. Waiting for San Souci was Joey Testa. This was a close match that saw San Souci pulling away late to win 6-4 to earn another chance at Krah.

San Souci was faced with the task of defeating Krah twice in the finals for the win. However, Krah was too strong that day and won the first set with a tightly contested 7-5 score.
